Cardopia (the “App”) is a mobile app that brings credit and debit card deals together in one place. This policy explains how we process your personal data under Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”).
About this website: cardopia.app contains no forms, cookies or tracking tools and does not collect personal data from visitors. The sections below apply to the Cardopia mobile app.
1. Data controller
The data controller’s identity and address will be published in this section before the app launches.

2. What data we process
- Account details: First name, last name, email address and, optionally, phone number.
- Card preferences: Only the bank name and card name of the cards you add (e.g. “Garanti BBVA – Bonus”).
- App usage: Deals you mark as joined, spending amounts you enter for tracking, your favourite brands and app settings.
- Profile photo: Only if you choose to add one.
- Location: Only with your permission, used in the moment to show nearby deals; it is not stored.
- Anonymous usage data: Only with your permission, to improve the App, without linking it to your identity.
Data we never ask for or process: Card numbers, expiry dates, CVV/security codes, banking passwords and bank account details.
3. Why we process your data
- To create and manage your account,
- To show deals that match your cards and calculate your best card,
- To send the notifications you choose (e.g. last-day reminders),
- To respond to support requests,
- To send deal announcements by email and SMS if you give explicit consent,
- To keep the App secure and improve the service.
4. Legal grounds
Under Article 5 of the KVKK, your data is processed on the grounds of establishing and performing a contract, our legitimate interests and compliance with legal obligations; marketing communications and anonymous usage data are processed only with your explicit consent.
5. Sharing your data
We never sell your data. It may be shared only as needed to provide the service with hosting and email providers. These providers’ servers may be located abroad; in that case, transfers comply with the KVKK rules on international data transfers. Data may be shared with competent authorities where required by law.
6. How long we keep it
Your data is kept while your account is open. When you delete your account in the App (Profile → Delete my account), your data is deleted, subject to any legal retention obligations.
7. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, request information, ask for correction or deletion, learn which third parties it was shared with, object, and claim compensation. Send your requests to [email protected].
8. Children
Cardopia is not intended for anyone under 18.

We will announce any significant changes to this policy in the App and on this page.
